Peer-review process
→ There is a review form, also available online on the website of the journal. This form was initially filled by the members of scientific committee or of the editorial board, but in the last years it was filled by peer-reviewers of another institutions from Romania and abroad, two reviewers for each article. This process is strictly confidential.
→ The article is sent to reviewers by e-mail or, at request, by mail. There are two types of files we are sending via e-mail: the .doc file and the .pdf file; in this respect, the rare fonts (like the Greek ones) can be easily recognized. Sometimes, at request, we send also the fonts in electronic form. It happened in the last years that the reviewer can receive two articles for reviewing, especially when the articles are not very long.
→ The review form contains appreciations about article’s originality and, depending of this, the article is definitively accepted, accepted with small or important revisions or is rejected from publication.
→ After the peer-reviewers make these recommendations (scanned, by e-mail, or by mail), the scientific committee analyses them. Generally, the evaluations are the same at the two reviewers; the differences consist in the recommendations they are making for the improvement of the text. Even in the case of the definitive acceptance, a reviewer can write some observations or improvement suggestions.
→ The scientific committee decide, following the evaluations, which article can be published in our journal.
